Bradley Jaden has joined the cast of “Wanted,” the upcoming Broadway musical formerly known as “Gun & Powder.”
The production is scheduled to begin previews October 15 at the James Earl Jones Theatre, with an official opening set for November 8.
Jaden will make his Broadway debut as Jesse in the musical. His casting follows his recent appearance as Javert in the world tour of “Les Misérables: The Arena Concert Spectacular.” He has also performed in London’s West End in productions including “Sondheim’s Old Friends,” “Sideshow,” “Wicked,” “Shrek” and “Camelot.”
“Wanted” is directed by Obie Award winner and Tony Award nominee Stevie Walker-Webb, with choreography by Chelsey Arce. The production tells the true story of Black twin sisters Mary and Martha Clarke, who were able to pass as white and remain hidden while they were on the run.

Solea Pfeiffer will play Mary Clarke, while Liisi LaFontaine will portray Martha Clarke. Luke James is set to play Elijah, and R&B singer Ledisi will appear as Tallulah Clarke.
Aurelia Williams and Awa Sal Secka are also part of the Broadway cast as Sissy and Flo, respectively. Both performers are returning to roles they previously played in earlier productions of the musical. Williams appeared in the role at Paper Mill Playhouse, while Secka played Flo at Signature Theatre.
Additional casting will be announced. Tara Rubin and Olivia Paige West of The TRC Company are handling casting for the Broadway production.
The musical features a book and lyrics by Angelica Chéri, a descendant of the Clarke sisters, and music by Ross Baum. Arce serves as choreographer after previously working on productions including “Sweeney Todd” and “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.”
