Bret Michaels Cancels Remaining 2026 Tour Dates Following Recent Surgeries

The Poison star Bret Michaels has cancelled his remaining 2026 tour dates while he recovers from recent medical surgeries.

In June, Michaels performed three shows while in “intense” pain, and after the final performance, he was immediately taken to the hospital for surgery to remove a kidney stone and had a ureteral stent placed. Then, this past Friday, he attempted to perform his first show since the procedure in Sugar Hill, Georgia, however, following a consultation with doctors, he has decided to call-off the rest of the tour.

“Following Bret Michaels’ comeback show, doctors and paramedics determined immediately after the show that he still needs additional rest and recovery from his recent surgeries,” a representative said in a statement on social media. “Bret will be taking the next several months off to heal and get back to 100%.”

Michaels’ physicians also released a statement, noting that “we will be pulling Bret off the road for the time being.”

 “He wanted to attempt this show, but we feel there is a much-needed period of rest and slow recovery ahead, especially considering the heat and humidity during the summer months and the effect it can have on his blood sugar levels,” the physicians said.

Michaels was set to perform nearly a dozen more shows this year, including a performance at Gatlinburg, Tennessee’s The Mountain Music Festival, which he will no longer attend.
