Ozzfest Confirms United States Return for 2027

Ozzfest has confirmed that its planned 2027 return will include events in both the United States and United Kingdom.

The festival shared a new teaser featuring images of the U.S. and U.K. flags alongside the message, “Ozzfest will come to the U.K. and U.S.”

“More info coming soon,” organizers added, asking fans where they hope the festival will appear in 2027. No United States cities, venues or dates have been announced. Organizers have also not revealed the 2027 lineup or ticket-sale schedule.

The American dates will mark the first U.S. Ozzfest events since December 31, 2018, when the festival held a one-day New Year’s Eve concert at The Forum in Inglewood, California. Ozzy Osbourne headlined that edition alongside Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Jonathan Davis, Body Count, Zakk Sabbath and DevilDriver.

Confirmation of the U.S. return follows the announcement that Ozzfest will stage an event at Villa Park in Birmingham, England. The stadium hosted Black Sabbath’s “Back to the Beginning” farewell concert on July 5, 2025, which became Osbourne’s final performance. He died 17 days later at age 76. A date and lineup for the Villa Park edition have not yet been released.

Sharon Osbourne initially confirmed plans to revive Ozzfest during an appearance at the MIDEM music industry conference in February. Asked whether the festival would return in 2027, she responded, “Yes, absolutely. Yeah, we’re gonna do it.”

Ozzfest began in 1996 after organizers of Lollapalooza declined to book Ozzy Osbourne. Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne responded by creating their own festival, launching it with October events in Phoenix and Los Angeles.

The original lineup included Ozzy Osbourne, Slayer, Danzig, Sepultura, Biohazard, Fear Factory, Neurosis, Earth Crisis, Powerman 5000 and Coal Chamber.

Ozzfest later developed into a traveling, multistage festival and became an important touring platform for heavy metal and hard rock.  The event expanded internationally during its original run, staging editions in the United Kingdom, Japan and other markets.
